first song on the shuffle: "kingdom come" by coldplay
i have no idea how far i actually ran, but it felt awesome. it was cold, windy and rainy, but that was the best run i've had in a long time.
i ended up running over to the track on chicago, and after a few laps, i realized i was going under 10 minutes per mile. granted, i only went for about 17 minutes, but i never once felt out of breath. if i didn't have to catch a train, i would've kept running.
at one point when i was running on the track, i noticed that a light post illuminated the rain falling at a slight angle. it was really pretty. i think being able to see things like that are one of the best parts about running because i would've never experienced it sitting my lazy ass on a couch.
i sure hope this running high keeps going.
